- Expert knowledge of video/photo editing software, as well as video streaming, including Photoshop and other Adobe software.
- Social media expertise, across all platforms.
- Proficient in PrestoSports Stats with the ability to stat baseball, basketball, and soccer games
- Write press releases and game recaps with high proficiency
- Maintain information on the Athletics webpage
- Serve as primary media liaison for LSUS Athletics
- Assist and oversee the press box and/or scoring table for athletic contests
- If possible, serve as PA announcer at baseball, basketball, and soccer games
- Must be willing to work closely with coaches to ensure that information on the website including statistics are accurate
- Serve as the Champions of Character liaison
- Assist coaches and FAR with nominations of student-athletes for state, regional, and national awards
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
- Have 3 years of collegiate sports information/design experience
- Experience in social media
- Experience in stat keeping particularly with PrestoSports Stats
- Experience in graphic design
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong public speaking skills.
- Strong computer and writing skills.
- Ability to work significant evening, night, and weekend hours.
