The Parks Scheduling Office coordinates use at the City of Bellevue’s athletic fields, including Bannerwood Sports Park, home of the Seattle University Redhawk Baseball team. The field is also used by the community for high school, select-level youth, and adult baseball games, as well as camps and tournaments. Facility Staff at Bannerwood oversee the community field reservations, which take place between now and September. We plan to hire 2-3 additional staff members. The schedule for this position can be flexible to coordinate with your life. The shifts take place on weekday afternoons, weekday evenings, or weekends with weekday daytime shifts also available in the summer. Typically, staff work 3-6 days per week with each shift being 4-8 hours long. September is our slowest month, and July is our busiest. Facility Staff are responsible for opening the field, overseeing the facility, adjusting light programming, closing field, and reporting back to office staff.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Unlock facility gates as scheduled.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility and parking lot.
- Enforce Park Guidelines (i.e. dogs, sunflower seeds, cleats, alcohol, noise, etc…).
- Direct the user groups to clean-up after use.
- Lock and secure the facility at the end of the rental period.
- Work with coaches/umpires at the field if the field light programming needs to be adjusted.
- Contact Parks Staff during the use if there is an issue.
- Submit Shift Summary report after each shift.
Supervision Received and Exercised:
- Reports to the Recreation Program Coordinator with the Parks Scheduling Office.
- Receives limited supervision.
- Works independently as part of a team.
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of baseball and athletic fields is a plus
- Experience working with the public is preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Good Customer Service
- Strong organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Ability to work independently as part of a team.
- Able to adjust to an outdoor environment.
Education, Experience, and Other Requirements
- High school Diploma or higher
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Entry level position, so no experience required

Definition of a Variable Employee:
- Average weekly hours cannot be determined at date of hire.
- Hours may vary from week to week and are anticipated to be 28 hours per week or less.
- NOTE: Will be considered full-time and eligible for medical coverage if hours average 30 hours per week or more over a 12-month measurement period (or 130 hours per month).
