**Hiring rate will be determined based on qualifications and internal equityThis position will be responsible for data and evaluation, media, advocacy, and communication of the Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) project. The Triple P Program works to reduce child maltreatment, out of home placements, and behavioral problems in children and adolescence. Work will include serving on an interdisciplinary implementation team and collaborating across community agencies at the local and state levels.This position has the responsibility supporting the Triple P project as a coordinator in the designated counties. This position is required to travel throughout the region and is a hands-on role in ensuring fidelity of the Triple P Program by practitioners. The employee reports to the Triple P Program Manager.Examples of DutiesDuties for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Interface with the Intermediary Organization (IO) support system (The Impact Center at FPG, UNC-CH and Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina, Triple P America) to ensure model fidelity, good implementation practices, and a strong local infrastructure.
- Responsible for data collection activities which include: data preparation for reporting, reviewing the data for quality assurance, reporting the data on time to the Branch data specialist.
- Participate on the data work group with the NC Triple P Learning Collaborative.
- Develop a community outreach plan that includes media strategies for both care givers and practitioners.
- Advocate for Triple P in the 18-county region.
- Participate in the NC Triple P Learning Collaborative.
- Engage and support in the annual “Practitioner Roundup”, an assessment of the stats of trained practitioners.
Employee is subject to be called upon anytime to help the agency respond to a public health emergency which may include, but is not limited to, outbreak investigations, staffing mass dispensing or immunization clinics, providing disaster relief, or other incidents (man-made or natural and intentional or non-intentional) as they arise, or any public health response requested by the Health Director.Minimum Qualifications(Evaluator) Graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in psychology, sociology or social work or a human service programmatic field, preferably with coursework in human services program evaluation; or graduation from a four-year college or university and two years of evaluation or consultative experience in a human service program; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.Degrees must be received from appropriately accredited universities.College transcripts may be submitted on-line via the attachment feature or mailed to Cumberland County Department of Public Health Human Resources, 1235 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301. - Ability to work independently to coordinate trainings and support groups.
- Considerable knowledge of coaching techniques to use with parents and practitioners.
- Ability to work well with people of different educational and socioeconomic backgrounds and to speak effectively before various groups.
- Ability to establish a good working relationship with individuals and community groups.
- Ability to organize and direct the activities of local committees for the development of local public health education programs.
- Considerable knowledge of community health education resources.
- Considerable knowledge in program planning, program implementation and evaluation.
- Thorough knowledge of community organizations.
Must have or obtain and maintain a valid North Carolina driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
