Job description: Job Purpose

  • The Software Engineer writes and maintains code within Cloud Inventory application and systems to implement capabilities and features, improve performance and maintainability.
  • Will be extending the CI application software both the front end and back end to suit the business requirements provided.
  • Supports testing the different transaction applications provided by CI with the customizations from various instances like Development, Test and Stage and work with the release management to migrate to Production.
  • The Software Engineer plays a role in administering the users and their access privileges in the CI platform.

  • Works with Product Management to understand the challenges that customers and end users face in their day-to-day work and partner with them to design viable solutions.
  • Recommends viable solutions to processes, technology, and interfaces that improve the effectiveness of the team and reduce technical debt.
  • Foresees capacity requirements for component usage and identifies limitations.
  • Provides input into story sizing, backlog grooming, and release planning.

Product Development

  • Contributes to product and solution designs to address critical issues and complex problems.
  • Builds software applications across multiple platforms in response to the needs of stakeholders.
  • Understands technical architecture and writes software and automated tests that are aligned with agreed upon standards.
  • Performs trouble-shooting efforts and investigations when necessary.

Application Support

  • Provides ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance of deployed products.

Advice and Guidance

  • Actively works with less experienced software engineers providing technical guidance and oversight.

Emerging Technology Monitoring

  • Actively participates in the engineering community, staying up to date on new software technologies and best practices and shares insights with others in the organization.

  • Working experience in design, development, and implementation of highly scalable, high-volume software systems and components, client-facing web applications, and major Internet-oriented applications and systems

  • Working experience with application lifecycle methodologies (e.g. agile, iterative)
  • Working experience in analysis, design and programming
  • Working experience with appropriate database technology
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of industry related professional experience and education
  • Scrum Developer Certification or equivalent
  • 1 – 5 years of working experience

SpecializationsOracle EBSKnowledge, Experience & Qualifications

  • 1 year experience implementing, customizing and supporting the Oracle e-Business Suite, particularly Inventory-to-Cash and Procure-to-Pay modules
  • Working experience with application lifecycle methodologies (e.g. agile, iterative)
  • Working experience in analysis, design and programming
  • Working knowledge in Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1 or higher, Oracle ERP applications development and architecture with an emphasis on workflows, interfaces and other technical functions
  • Technical proficiency in: Oracle Forms (6i and higher), Oracle JDeveloper, Oracle Reports (6i and higher), Oracle Workflow Builder, Oracle Financial Analyzer, PL/SQL, SQL*Plus, SQL*Loader, API’s; XML Publisher; web services
  • Proficient programming, unit and system testing skills for all levels of complexity
  • Ability to effectively report on application development resources for projects and maintenance
  • Ability to synthesize information quickly at a high level and makes decisions in ambiguous situations

USD 70,700.00 – 106,100.00 per yearCompensation:Compensation includes a base salary of $70,700.00 – $106,100.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities.
