The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, exceptional writing skills, and the ability to craft engaging content for various internal and social channels. This role will play a critical part in keeping our employees informed, engaged, and aligned with our company’s goals and values.A Day in the Life of an Associate Communications Specialist – About the role:

• Content creation: Develop compelling content, including written and video, for internal communications channels including but not limited to newsletters, 1PROS intranet, email updates and digital signage, as well as our external Life at PROS culture blog and culture social posts.
• Content calendar management: Maintain a content calendar to plan, schedule and organize internal communications and social culture initiatives, ensuring timely delivery of content.
• Channel management: Support and update internal communication channels, ensuring content is relevant, accurate, and accessible to all employees.
• Event support: Provide support for internal events, including quarterly town halls, monthly executive live Q&As and other company-wide or Houston-based events as needed.
• Metrics and reporting: Track and analyze key metrics and employee feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of internal communications and social culture initiatives, providing regular reports and insights.

Required Qualifications – About you:

• Experience in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field preferred
• Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and visual communication. Experience with video communications a plus
• Exceptional written and verbal communications skills with a keen eye for detail and grammar
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and all levels of the organization
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge/experience with Canva and WordPress a plus.
• Willingness to learn internal communication platforms and best practices
• Familiarity with social media platforms, current social trends and leveraging AI to support content creation
