Job description: JOB SUMMARYPlans, layouts, draws, and revises detailed part, assembly, and installation engineering drawings from basic layouts, established references, and standard data in a field of specialization such as structures, devices, mechanics. Utilizes computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools such as, CREO, AutoCAD, CAD, NX or CATIA. Completes details of major layout drawings prepared by others in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices. Determines scaling; inserts necessary reference planes, centering and dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning; prepares specifications for parts, assemblies, and installations; prepares complete production detail drawings; contributes design modifications to improve quality of product or facilitate manufacturing operations.JOB DUTIES
- Immediate knowledge of CREO CAD Software and will be creating plans, layouts, draws, and revises detailed part, assembly, and installation of engineering drawings from basic layouts, established references, and standard data in a field of specialization such as structures, devices, or mechanics.
- Utilizes computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools such as, CAD, CAM or CATIA.
- Completes details of major layout drawings prepared by others in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices.
- Determines scaling; inserts necessary reference planes, centering and dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning.
- Prepares specifications for parts, assemblies, and installations.
- Prepares complete production detail drawings; and contributes design modifications to improve quality of product or facilitate manufacturing operations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS /RESPONSIBILITIES
- Expert knowledge of the mechanical engineering and drafting is required for this role.
- Showing up with extensive knowledge of CREO CAD Software. (THIS ROLE IS NOT ABLE TO TRAIN ON CREO)
- Substantial acquaintance with and understanding of general aspects of the job with a basic understanding of the technical phases of the job. Performs a variety of activities following standard procedures.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE
- Associates degree plus 5-9 year of experience directly related to the work assignment.
- Will accept stellar work experience in CREO of (5-9) years’ experience in lieu of degree.
- Creo Options Modeler (CREO) modelers/drafter experience required.
- Proficient at modeling mechanical components and creating engineering drawings.
- Experience with large CREO assemblies.
- Familiar with machine shop practices and AWS weld symbols and how to put those requirements on the drawings.
