Job description: We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to become an integral part of a large insurance company!**THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION BUT CANDIDATES MUST RESIDE IN GREATER SACRAMENTO AREA**Responsibilities:Execute various special assignments delegated by different business units/departments
Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive reports for financial planning and analysis, facilitating informed decision-making by the management and executive team.
Conduct thorough analysis of historical data, perform variance analysis, identify emerging trends, and provide actionable recommendations to senior management.
Reconcile transactions meticulously by cross-referencing incoming and outgoing data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
Collaborate closely with the Power BI unit to establish and maintain business requirements for dashboard reporting of reinsurance premiums
Conduct rigorous testing, reconciliation, and validation of data reporting processes between the Risk-Transfer unit, Power BI unit, and IT team to ensure consistency and reliability.
Qualifications:Bachelor s degree in business, finance, insurance, economics, or a related field.
5-10 years of proven experience in financial analysis.
Preferred background in insurance, banking, or healthcare sectors
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Advanced skills in Excel, including formulas, functions, and pivot tables.
Experience working with databases such as SQL, Access, etc.
Familiarity with Power BI is a plus
Strong analytical abilities, adept at gathering and interpreting data, and generating insightful reports.
Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in analysis and reporting.
Excellent presentation and communication skills, capable of effectively conveying information to senior leadership and the executive team.
