Job description: Job Description:Seeking Intensive Care Unit Charge Nurse!Baptist Health Floyd, Intensive Care UnitPart-Time (24 Hours Weekly), Nights (7pm-7am)Benefit Eligible$$ Bonus Eligible for External Applicants Only $$Job Duties:Responsible for acting as a resource nurse for the department. This is an entry-level leadership position responsible for the coordination of care on designated shifts. He/she will provide leadership to the staff members of the unit in the area of patient care. This position will work alongside the team and provide direct patient care while determining needed staffing fluctuations during shifts, responding to departmental concerns, address immediate staff issues and coordinate patient flow. This position has immediate oversight of employees while performing the same or directly related work as those the position leads.About the Unit:The Intensive Care Unit is a 16-bed adult medical ICU providing specialized care for a variety of critically ill patients, including those with: stroke; sepsis; shock states with or without multi-organ failure; and respiratory failure. New graduate RNs are welcome.Qualifications:Graduate of an approved nursing program, holding a minimum of an ASN.Current Indiana or compact state RN license.BLS for Healthcare Provider required.ACLS certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).NIHSS Stroke Certification required (Obtained within 10 weeks of hire).One year of nursing experience required; One year of experience in area of specialty preferred.Professional/Specialty certification required as per unit/department standards.Baptist Health Floyd is a Pathway to Excellence® designated organization.We offer competitive salaries and excellent benefits.
