Job description: Job Description:Patient Service Representative (PSR II) scheduling position available in Radiology DV. HYBRID position REMOTE with requirement to work on site 2 days per week OR as needed for in house staffing.Responsible for organizing and operating the office systems related to appointment scheduling, patient check-in including data verification, charge entry and cash collection, statistical tracking office communications, imaging management, word processing, and updating of patient electronic medical records.

  • Follow guidelines for remote workers including Nemours Policies, equipment, and work schedule. PSR is required to be on-site 1 day per week. Staff will also be expected to come on site if equipment fails at home.
  • Maintain ergonomically correct desk/chair arrangement in home environment. Must have own internet connection.
  • Gather and update information regarding demographics, insurance, and obtain consent forms for walk-in patients and scheduled appointments in a respectful and confidential fashion.
  • When in house – Register patients for Medical Imaging studies, collect payments from patients, post charges according to procedures, provide receipts and appropriately document all financial transactions. This includes cash reconciliation and bank deposit preparation. Refer to Nemours Financial Assistance as needed
  • Schedule and confirm appointments for diagnostic testing using the following process: confirm physician order, assign proper dates and times for appointment with appropriate table time, nurse time, proper protocol, and which scanner is needed, give preps as needed, offer satellite locations if appropriate, and add detailed document appointment notes.
  • Maintain knowledge of PACS systems to assist patients with copies of studies performed in Medical Imaging. Upload outside images into PACS and other web-based imaging products such as Nuance PowerShare.
  • Obtain authorization and pre-certification for consultations and diagnostic testing for outside physician orders. Maintain Action plan excel sheet.
  • Work Right fax and S: drive
  • Answer telephone using proper phone etiquette and direct calls using Nemours Standards of Behavior.
  • Maintain content and organization of medical records.

  • Asks questions and provides accurate information and feedback.
