Repackages bulk medications.Prepares non-sterile compounded medications, including hazardous medications and cross trains in more advance functions when deem appropriatePerforms prescription data entry in pharmacy system when applicable.Maintains and supports medication distribution systems and distribution channels, including automated dispensing cabinets, code carts, trays and kits.Completes other responsibilities as assigned in support of pharmacy operations and within the pharmacy technician scope of practice.Assists with customer service and patient needs, including answering telephones, managing work queues and completing medication histories.Competencies:ACCOUNTABILITY, AUTOMATED DISPENSING SYSTEMS, CUSTOMER SERVICE, DISPENSING OF MEDICATION, MEDICATION FILLS, MEDICATION SAFETY – TECH, PATIENT AND FAMILY CENTERED CARE, RESPONDING TO CHANGE, STANDARDS OF BEHAVIOREducation and Certification Requirements:High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT LICENSE) – State of Florida (FL)Additional Job Information:Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
