Job description: Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Metrics and analytics

  • Design solid and consistent approaches and processes for effective use of metrics and analytics across HR, including updates to the HR Data Dictionary.
  • Lead and manage creation of KPI scorecards for the global HR organization.
  • Partner with other members of the HR team to develop, design, build, and automate meaningful standard HR metrics, reports, and dashboards that align to stakeholders’ strategic objectives and assist company leaders in making data-driven people decisions.
  • Develop accurate and useful reports for senior HR leadership for presentation to the Chairman, Board of Directors, and other company leaders.
  • Triage ad hoc requests from other members of the HR organization and provide appropriate support, up to analyzing data and providing visualizations that tell a compelling story and communicating findings to key stakeholders in a simplified, consumable format.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of HR programs, and support the full range of workforce analytics from dashboards and metrics to forecasting and predictive analysis.
  • Creatively develop and apply insights using statistical analysis and data visualization to understand dynamics of career development, leadership, hiring, and other HR topics.

Training and development

  • Grow the capabilities and competencies of the global HR function by educating the global HR community on the importance and strategic use of reporting and analytics.
  • In partnership with the Learning and Development team, maintain the People Analytics educational offerings in Workday Learning.
  • Lead and evolve the cross-functional HR Data Working Group.
  • Establish and manage the HR Analytics Community of Practice.

Technology and data quality and governance

  • Partner with the HRIS team and other stakeholders to evolve HR data management and stewardship practices, including the definition of data management standards and data dictionary.
  • Partner with HRIS to provide analytical requirements for data structures that support needed analytical capabilities.
  • Make effective use of available technology including Workday, Prism, Tableau, Excel, and PowerPoint to process and analyze data then create reports and visualizations.
  • Provide input to and advocacy for keeping pace with technological evolution in the people analytics field.

Communication and Consulting

  • Present insights to senior leadership within HR and across the organization,
  • Consult with internal and external survey owners on the use and application of employee data and analysis of survey results.
  • Manage creation and use of Workforce Analytics creative assets, including graphic templates.
  • Assist with assessment and mapping of current Workforce Analytics processes to design future improvements.

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, data science, business, economics, I/O psychology, or related field (Advanced degree preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in HR or related field
  • 5+ years of experience working across HR centers of excellence, including total rewards, talent management, learning & development, employee relations, and others
  • 3+ years of experience working on HR data and people analytics

Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Advanced Excel Skills with strong analytical skills, problem-solving capability, high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Formal project management training experience and project management skills preferred
  • Demonstrated business acumen and strong relationship building skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HR functions and processes
  • Strong organizational skills, concise documentation skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communications and strong presentation skills.
