Job description: As a Remote Tourism Advisor, your primary responsibility will be to assist individuals or groups in planning and organizing their travel experiences remotely. You will act as a knowledgeable resource, providing expert advice, recommendations, and assistance to ensure travelers have memorable and fulfilling journeys. This is a great opportunity!Responsibilities:Consultation: Communicate with clients via phone, email, or online chat to understand their travel preferences, interests, and budgetary considerations.Destination Knowledge: Possess comprehensive knowledge of various travel destinations, including popular tourist attractions, cultural landmarks, accommodations, dining options, transportation services, and local customs.Itinerary Planning: Design customized travel itineraries tailored to clients’ specific needs, interests, and time constraints, considering factors such as preferred activities, transportation modes, accommodation types, and budget limitations.Booking Assistance: Assist clients with booking flights, accommodations, transportation, tours, activities, and other travel-related services using online booking platforms, travel agency databases, or direct contacts.Travel Advice: Provide valuable insights, tips, and recommendations to clients regarding travel logistics, safety precautions, visa requirements, currency exchange, travel insurance, and any other pertinent information.Customer Support: Offer ongoing support and assistance to clients before, during, and after their travels, addressing any concerns, resolving issues, and ensuring a seamless travel experience.Promotional Activities: Contribute to marketing and promotional efforts by creating engaging content, such as travel blogs, articles, social media posts, or newsletters, to attract new clients and retain existing ones.Stay Updated: Stay informed about the latest travel trends, industry developments, and destination-specific updates to provide accurate and up-to-date information to clients.Remote Communication: Effectively utilize remote communication tools and technology platforms to maintain regular contact with clients and collaborate with team members or travel partners.Customer Satisfaction: Strive to exceed customer expectations by delivering exceptional service, personalized recommendations, and memorable experiences that enhance client satisfaction and loyalty.Requirements:Previous experience in the travel industry, preferably in a customer-facing role such as travel agent, tour guide, or hospitality professional.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate information clearly and persuasively.Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.Proficiency in using computer applications, online booking systems, and communication tools.Extensive knowledge of global travel destinations, cultures, and tourism trends.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.Flexibility to accommodate varying work schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet client needs and deadlines.Preferred Qualifications:Must be eligible to work in the U.S.Certification or training in travel and tourism, such as Certified Travel Associate (CTA) or Destination Specialist (DS).Fluency in multiple languages, especially those commonly spoken in popular tourist destinations.Salary: Based on commission and performance $30,000 – $65,000Powered by JazzHR
