XGIE is responsible for our consumer business go-to-market, including residential products and services, Marketing, Growth, Business Intelligence, HR, Network Expansion, Digital Experience, and more.This position reports to the Executive Director for Internal Communications – XGIE and collaborates with the XGIE IC and corporate/cable Internal Comms team, and business teams and leaders. The role requires the ability to counsel key business leaders on their employee engagement objectives, and to develop and manage communications, campaigns, and content for employees in XGIE. The ideal candidate is a strategic communications thinker, with exceptional written and verbal communications, bringing creativity and new ideas to best facilitate employee engagement, change management, and business goals. This job is an individual contributor role that does not have direct responsibility or supervision of staff.Job DescriptionCore Responsibilities:

  • Manages communications strategies and campaigns to support key business objectives, long- and short-term goals, with specific focus on HR and employee experience.
  • Manages communications initiatives, and drive employee engagement for XGIE team members – including HR, Marketing, Business Intelligence, Digital, Consumer Products, Network Expansion, and more.
  • Counsels and supports leaders and key partners on the best communications approach to achieve desired outcomes. Manages through influence and builds trusting relationships.
  • Works with various teams, including XGIE leadership, corporate/cable PR and Internal Comms, HR, and other functional teams to develop communications.
  • Develops rich, relevant content; keeps communications fresh and engaging; regularly develops and explores new ideas and strategies.
  • Writes and edits communications plans, tactical content – including but not limited to Intranet content, internal social platform content, digital signage, FAQ, talking points, videos, leadership messages, etc. Writes effectively and with appropriate tone for internal audiences.
  • Project manages and executes employee events and activations with excellence.
  • Interacts with vendors for production and fulfillment of communication materials as needed.
  • Uses data and analytics to assess and improve strategies.
  • Manages consultants/contracted resources as needed, including graphic designers, creative agencies, event planning firms, etc.
  • Graphic design and video production experience is highly desirable.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Writing test and samples required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Communications, English, Journalism, or Business Writing
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as working experience with content management systems (for intranet and email), graphic design applications (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and video production.
