The three primary responsibilities of the product owner will be managing and prioritizing the product backlog, translating product managers’ strategies to development requirements, stories, tasks, and learning the customers’ and market’s requirements. To accomplish this you will work with the product team to manage and document requirements and acceptance of requirements on a daily basis; work with beta customers to test and validate new releases; liaison with the Service team to ensure that escalations and defects are triaged, prioritized, and remediated; collaborate with Product Managers to manage release coordination activities and partner for value delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesTake the lead of scrum teams as the Product OwnerProviding vision and direction to the Agile development team and collaborators throughout the project and build requirements and user stories.Preparing the Backlog work items to ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prepared tasks for the teamPlan and prioritize product feature backlog and productPartner with Product Manager to ensure the defined product vision, roadmap is aligned with the work for the development teamWork closely with Product Management to build and maintain a product backlog according to business value or return on investment to ensure work focuses on increasing value for effort.Keep Clients and collaborators updated on the status of the productLead product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalitiesProvide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals – governance for change management and lead adjustments to planResearch and analyze market, the users, and the roadmap for the product requirementsFollow our competitors and the industryKeep abreast with Agile/Scrum standard processes and new trendsSkills and Experience2 – 5 years working experience as a Product Owner or equivalent work experienceExperience in or ability to leverage Product Management and Development tools such as Azure Dev Ops, Aha!, Jira or equivalentIn-depth knowledge of Agile process and principlesOutstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsSharp analytical and problem-solving skillsCreative thinker with a visionAttention to detailBonus PointsDomain experience in Pharmacy or Health careStrong IT skillsTravel RequirementsJob requires up to 25% travel to accommodate client visits, BETA implementations and trade show attendance.For certain roles at BD, employment is contingent upon the Company’s receipt of sufficient proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
