Job description: Summit Technologies, Inc. is looking for a SharePoint Developer. You will work with our government client as they establish an environment to share knowledge, leverage data/content and improve business processes. This is an onsite position in Ft. Jackson, SC. Candidate must have or be eligible for a Secret security clearance (will sponsor).As of the 1st of the year we have had our contract extended and we are looking to bring candidates in for a short-term 1 to 3 month contract. This would be a great opportunity for people who think they are not qualified but are looking to build on their experience. Candidates who are retired from the federal space can lend their past experience and knowledge for a short-term role. We are looking for people who have experience using SharePoint, business process, knowledge management, tier II helpdesk, service desk, system administration, business analysis, and systems analysis.   • Ensure classified, unclassified and approved public facing websites, portals, online communities, web-based collaboration platforms, and other DoD/DA web-based knowledge sources are continuously operational, reviewed, tested, and complete any needed adjustments.
  • Provide technical support for SharePoint Online. Analyze existing sites, pages, lists, libraries, etc. to identify opportunities for reorganizing, redesigning, restructuring, and enhancing existing SharePoint presence.
  • Assist with implementing adaptations and applications of approved contract AMP, TMP, CAP, and related project management documents.
  • Evaluate adaptations and applications of Knowledge Management, Performance Management, Process Improvement, Data/Content Management, Business Intelligence and Transformation plans and related documents; develop and provide recommendations, courses of action and timelines.
  • Execute KM activities and projects to identify knowledge gaps, develop solutions, and integrate KM best practices from across DoD, Federal and commercial sectors using various processes, methods and technologies.
  • Research issues, analyze findings, develop recommendations and prepare and present related briefings and whitepapers on KM topics and projects; submit input to the development of command KM strategy, and to KM policy and governance documents that support a collaborative and effective learning organization to change, through KM best practices and processes.
  • Apply, maintain and update training, education and professional development materials monthly.
  • Provide performance support to users, staff, and organizations.
  • Evaluate adaptations and applications of plans and related documents; provide recommendations for courses of action and timelines.
  • Ensure supporting contract personnel input data into the Office of the Chief Knowledge Officer Performance Support Tool (OCKO PST).
  • Input program metrics and KPI into operational SharePoint and SMS dashboards.
  • Identifying business use-cases and recommend appropriate application of collaborative tools and IT capabilities to improve MCoE knowledge management practices to enhance decision cycle effectiveness; increase shared understanding through improved collaboration; optimize mission and organizational performance; and expanded agile learning.

Preferred Experience:

  • 3 years’ experience as a SharePoint Developer, building SharePoint sites and administering SharePoint Admin Center.
  • 2+ years of experience in knowledge management, learning and development, content creation, or other relevant area.
  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise working with Microsoft 365 services, including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate/flow), and Forms / Planner.
  • Experience with modern SharePoint and website accessibility design best practices and techniques.
  • Collaborative skills to dialogue with customers on requirements.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

  • Candidate must have or be eligible for a Secret security clearance (will sponsor).
