Job description: Structural Welder
Key Role:Work pertains to fabrication of mechanical structures or components. Maintain responsibility of operation of welding equipment to include gas, metal arc, shielded metal arc, and TIG welding equipment. Apply knowledge of policies , procedures, and practical application of the general and specific te chn ical aspects of the job to complete varied and complex work. May make recommendations for new procedures. Work independently within established procedures and practices, and lead tasks and informally ment or other s.Basic Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience with welding structural components and assemblies
• Experience with welding equipment, including gas, metal arc, shielded metal arc, or TIG welding equipment
• Knowledge of drawings and blueprints to plan welding layouts and procedures
• Ability to measure and cut materials in preparation for welding
• Ability to operate saws, grinders, plasma cutters, and gas torches
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
• HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

• Knowledge of welding inspection methods
• Ability to determine correct welding equipment based on provided requirements
• Welding Certification

The projected compensation range for this position is $54,000.00 to $123,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
