RequirementsConditions of Employment

• Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment.

• THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified position in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, section 1051, amending10 United States Code, section 1599d.
• Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program.
• Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes identifying routine financial discrepancies and submitting corrections; performing routine research to ensure that financial data is accurate and in accordance with policy and procedures; interpreting regulatory guidance; preparing written correspondence; providing information to customers; using automated financial systems to compile and provide data that will be used for a variety of reports such as cost detail and estimated versus actual expenses. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).OREducation: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Budget Analysis, Accounting, Business, Economics, Law, Marketing, or Financial Management.ORSuperior Academic Achievement: Successful completion of all the requirements for a bachelor’s degree with Superior Academic Achievement. In order to be creditable under this provision, Superior Academic Achievement must have been gained in a curriculum that is qualifying for the position to be filled.
