Job description: Aramco Services CompanyVolunteer, College, and Culture Events Advisor (1259)Human Resources – Houston, TX – Full TimeOVERVIEW:Provides Human Resources (HR) services and support to address problems or issues in an area of HR using conceptual knowledge of theories, while maintaining the integrity of the company’s policies and practices.SCOPE:Provides services to Aramco Services Company (ASC), its U.S. subsidiaries, Joint Ventures (JVs), and Saudi Aramco (SAO) employees or candidates in North America.
Key Scope Components:
– 10-12 Students volunteer events annually
– 10-12 Ch8/Ch14 Cultural Events annually
– 3-5 College related events (College Fair and company and edicational tours)PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

  • Coordinates Student corporate volunteer events to enhance and promote Aramco image within the local community and to allow company students to find pride in Aramco and in the work that they do, and help out a cause that is important to them. Communicates and coordinates with external organizations, internal proponents, management, and government officials. Prepares agendas, coordinates logistics, supplies, and timelines to meet deadlines. Monitors trends in student volunteerism and recommends other opportunities to the Supervisor for review. Liaises with contractors that provide event-planning and exhibit services. (~40%)
  • Coordinate studnts’ events including cultural events, company tours, and SAO management student related visits. (~25%)
  • Designs brand campaigns and marketing designs for internal and external advertisements based on client specifications. Ensures the integrity of the brand is maintained per SAO guidelines. (~10%)
  • Maintain, report and track volunteers hours though company platform.
  • May assist with high-level events and programs for executives, VIPs, and Saudi Aramco (SAO) visitors.
  • Maintains contact database for all non profit organizations

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Social Sciences or related field. Other degrees may be considered with appropriate related work experience.
  • Understanding of the internal and external stakeholders and general public relations field.
  • Knowledge of company operations and policies.
  • Ability to:

– present the company’s corporate image effectively.
– express clearly and concisely ideas and concepts in written and verbal form.
– work effectively with people within and across organizations.
– display organization skills and to prioritize and balance multiple projects to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficient with business software applications.
  • Typically, at least three (3) years of experience with community relations, graphic design, employee volunteer programs, tradeshows and/or event coordination.
  • Must be able to comprehend and communicate accurately, clearly and concisely in English.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:No supervisory responsibilities, but may serve as a resource to others.DECISION MAKING & SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

  • Applies established practices and procedures and follows approved policies.
  • Receives supervision from the Staff Advisor of assigned area. Supervision and or well-defined, written or verbal instructions or standardized procedures are readily available. Is coached and mentored through projects and simple HR related issues.

BUSINESS CONTACTS:

  • Regularly within ASC, SAO counterpart, and students.
  • Regularly with a variety of organizations in the community.
